PageSpeed Insights tells you how one page scored in one test. The useful questions are bigger: which of the pages people actually land on are slow for real visitors, since when, and which fix saves the most time. With Caybl.ai connected, your AI reads Google's Chrome UX Report (the real-user data Google ranks on) and runs live Lighthouse audits, and with Google Analytics connected too it can start from your busiest pages.

Your options for a PageSpeed Insights MCP server
| Setup | Access | Hosting | Best for | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| pagespeed.web.dev | None - paste a URL | One page, one test at a time | Google's website | Checking a single page by hand |
| Lighthouse in Chrome DevTools | None - built into Chrome | Lab test of the page in front of you, including local and staging sites | Your browser | Developers debugging a page before it ships |
| Your own script on the PageSpeed / CrUX APIs | Google Cloud project, API key, code | Anything the APIs return | Wherever you run it | Scheduled bulk monitoring of many URLs |
| Caybl.ai (hosted) | Create an account, upgrade to Pro, add one URL to Claude or ChatGPT - no Google sign-in for page speed | Read-only, any public page | Already running (EU region) | Asking which busy pages are slow and why, next to your analytics, in plain English |
Google doesn't publish an official PageSpeed Insights MCP server. For a single page, pagespeed.web.dev is all you need; for pages behind a login or on localhost, use Lighthouse in Chrome. Caybl.ai is for the questions in between: many pages at once, real-user data, and your traffic data in the same answer.

No. Caybl.ai calls Google's PageSpeed Insights and Chrome UX Report APIs with its own key. There's nothing to create, enable or paste.
Pro in Claude, ChatGPT and other AIs. On the free plan you can ask about it in Caybl's built-in assistant using credits. Live Lighthouse audits are capped at 100 a day per account because each one takes Google 10-30 seconds; real-user Core Web Vitals lookups aren't capped.
Field data is what real Chrome users experienced over the last 28 days, from the Chrome UX Report - it's what Google uses in ranking. Lab data is one Lighthouse test on a simulated device; it varies a little between runs, but it shows why a page is slow and what to fix.
Any public page, competitors included. Not pages behind a login, on localhost or on a private network - use Lighthouse in Chrome for those. Small sites may not have real-user data yet, in which case you get the lab audit.
