Can you connect Microsoft Advertising to Claude?
Yes. Claude reads Microsoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads) through a connector built on MCP, the open standard Claude uses for outside data. Caybl.ai is a hosted connector: you sign in with Microsoft from the Caybl.ai dashboard, the same way you’d sign in to any app, and there’s no API key or developer token to find, copy or keep safe.
Steps
Sign in to Caybl.ai
Open your dashboard and click Connect next to Microsoft Advertising.
Sign in with Microsoft
With the Microsoft login that has access to your Advertising account, then approve access on Microsoft’s consent screen.
Ask
“Which search terms spent money without converting last month?”
Account created with Google sign-in?
The connection needs a Microsoft login; Google sign-in isn’t supported for it. If your Advertising account was created with Google sign-in, an account admin can add a Microsoft login as a user in Microsoft Advertising under Settings, then User management. Sign in to Caybl.ai with that Microsoft login and your accounts appear as normal.
What it reads
Campaigns, ad groups, keywords and ads with their status and settings. Performance for campaigns, ad groups and keywords, including quality score. Search terms, impression share, performance by location, negative keywords, ad extensions, budgets, bid adjustments, and conversion goals and UET tags. It can also pull keyword ideas for a location. Microsoft generates reports asynchronously, so performance questions can take a few seconds.
What you can ask
- Waste“Which search terms spent money last month without a conversion, and which should be negative keywords?”
- Quality“Which keywords have a quality score below 5, and what is dragging each one down?”
- Share“Where are we losing impression share to budget, and where to rank?”
- Locations“Which locations spend the most without converting?”
- Tracking“Are our conversion goals and UET tag set up correctly?”
- Ideas“Suggest keyword ideas for this product in the United Kingdom.”
- Cross-reference“Compare cost per conversion on Microsoft Advertising and Google Ads - which channel is cheaper?”
“Compare cost per conversion on Microsoft Advertising and Google Ads - which channel is cheaper?”
“Last month Microsoft Advertising cost $18 per conversion against $24 on Google Ads, on far less spend. Most of the Microsoft conversions come from the Brand and Competitor ad groups.”

What it can change, only where you allow it
Changes are off by default and set per account. When you turn them on, Claude can pause or resume campaigns, ad groups, keywords and ads, adjust bids and budgets, and add negative keywords. It can also add keywords, ads, extensions, campaigns and conversion goals, and everything it creates starts paused, so nothing runs until you switch it on in Microsoft Advertising. Every change is previewed with a dry run first, and nothing applies until you confirm. Changes act as the Advertising user you signed in as, so that user needs a role that can edit.
Who it is for
People running Microsoft or Bing search ads: in-house marketers, founders and agencies who want to find wasted spend and weak keywords without exporting reports. If you also run Google Ads, see how to connect Google Ads to Claude and compare both in one conversation. For organic Bing data, see Bing Webmaster Tools.
Is my Microsoft Advertising data safe?
Caybl.ai uses Microsoft’s own sign-in and consent screen, so you never handle an API key or developer token. Your access is stored encrypted, and you can revoke it any time by disconnecting from your dashboard or removing the app in your Microsoft account. Caybl.ai is an independent third party and is not affiliated with Microsoft. Claude can read your data and, only if you turn changes on, make previewed changes. More on how Caybl.ai handles your data.

Yes. Bing Ads was renamed Microsoft Advertising. The connector works with the same accounts, campaigns and reports.
No. This connection needs a Microsoft login, because Google sign-in isn't supported for it. If your Advertising account was created with Google sign-in, an account admin can add a Microsoft login as a user in Microsoft Advertising under Settings, then User management, and you sign in to Caybl.ai with that.
Which search terms spent money without converting, which keywords have a low quality score, how much impression share you lose to budget or to rank, how locations perform, whether conversion goals and the UET tag are set up, what budgets and bid adjustments are in place, and keyword ideas for a location.
Only where you turn changes on. They are off by default, set per account, and every change is previewed with a dry run before it applies. That covers pausing and resuming, bids, budgets and negative keywords, plus adding keywords, ads, extensions, campaigns and conversion goals, which always start paused. Changes act as the Advertising user you signed in as, so that user needs a role that can edit.
Microsoft Advertising generates performance reports asynchronously, so a report question can take a few seconds to come back.
Keyword ideas need Microsoft's numeric location ids, and Microsoft documents them for the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France and Germany. Other locations may not work.
