  • Free to connect and read
  • Read-only by default
  • ~2 minute setup

Can you connect Google Analytics to Claude?

Yes. Claude cannot reach Google Analytics on its own, but it supports custom connectors built on MCP, and Caybl.ai is a hosted one. You authorize access to your property once, add a single endpoint to Claude, and Claude can run reports against your data from then on. There is nothing to install and no key file to manage.

Does Claude connect to Google Analytics by default?

No. Google Analytics is not one of Claude’s built-in connectors, so a connector has to be added before Claude can see any of your data. That is the one-time setup below, and it takes about two minutes. If you think in GA4-specific terms - properties, key events, explorations - the GA4-to-Claude version of this guide uses that vocabulary throughout instead.

Steps

Step 1

Sign in with Google

Use the account your Analytics lives under.

Step 2

Connect Google Analytics

Approve Google’s consent screen to authorize Caybl.ai.

Step 3

Add the endpoint

Copy it from your dashboard into Claude’s Settings → Connectors.

Step 4

Ask

“What’s device usage across my top pages in the last 28 days?”

Questions that work well

  • Compare“Which pages lost the most traffic month over month?”
  • Analyze“Break down active users by device for my pricing page.”
  • Analyze“What were my top 5 acquisition channels last quarter?”
  • Compare“Compare mobile vs desktop conversions this month.”

“Which pages lost the most traffic month over month?”

“/blog/old-guide dropped from 3,200 to 1,100 sessions, the sharpest fall on the site. Organic search is where the drop happened - other channels held steady.”

Illustrative example - not real account data.

Claude does the reasoning on your own plan; Caybl.ai only fetches the Google Analytics data. Your analytics never leaves Google except to answer the question you asked.

Is my Google Analytics data safe?

Caybl.ai uses Google’s Analytics scope through the standard Google consent screen - you never paste a token. That scope lets it run reports and, when asked, mark a key event or link a Google Ads account - it can't touch anything else in your property. Disconnecting in your dashboard revokes access. More detail on how Caybl.ai handles your data.
